For younger kids, check out the playground at Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park.  The park has something for everyone, a beautiful pier, fishing, picnic tables and gift shop.  While you're there, consider walking the bridge for great exercise and a breathtaking aerial view of the harbor.  Check the park's website for fun events throughout the year, like Shaggin' on the Cooper and fishing tournaments.
