White Point Garden

It's no secret that Charleston has a lot to offer, one of its best “perks” being its parks.  No matter what part of town you call home, there is a great family friendly park near you.

Hampton Park

Hampton Park is the largest park on the peninsula, providing a utopian environment within the hustle and bustle of Downtown Charleston.  The park is renowned for its extensive floral displays and tranquil pond.  With 60 acres, the park is always filled with civilians, whether its a family enjoying a picnic or runners utilizing the trails.

Washington Park

Located behind City Hall at the corner of Meeting Street and Broad Street, this quaint and quiet greenspace is loved by many for its rich history and picturesque backdrop. From the countless newly engaged couples to the daily joggers or dog walkers, this little park tucked away among the old Charleston homes and oak trees is a peaceful place to reflect. It was known as City Hall Park until 1881 when it was renamed for George Washington.  You'll also see a Confederate monument to General Pierre Beauregard, who oversaw the city's defenses from 1862-1864. The middle of of the park hosts a memorial to the Washington Light Infantry, and honors past important military battles.

White Point Gardens

Located in the heart of the downtown historic district is White Point Gardens or “The Battery” as it is affectionally called by locals.  The park offers a piece of history and immaculate views of the harbor.  It is a great place to bring kids, dogs, a picnic and perhaps take pictures!  The beautiful white gazebo and canopy of oak trees create the perfect venue for a photoshoot.  Careful, it is rumored that Black Beard and a few of his fellow crew mates still haunt the park at night.
